Gravity
The dawn was breaking and morning light dim,
I heard my dad calling and ran into him.
So I puck myself up off of the ground,
I gues he won this time around.
This loathsome beast has come again,
That wretched monster, Gravity-man!
I've battled him on a daily basis,
But I am still unsure of where his face is.
A shapeless demon surrounding me
This frightful fiend ferociously
Pulls agains my feet and back
Throws my bones all out of wack.
I remember when it all began
Held within my mamma's hands.
She felt her feet begin a'flailin'
And swiftly reach for the railin'.
While I was flying through the air
I smacked the beast and could not bear
The awful pain sent into my veins
When caught within his awful reigns.
I vowed to never succumb again
To that wretched, horrid demon.
As the days continue on
I fight that scary devil-spawn.
Upcoming is the epic onslaught
To defeat that foe, its ready or not.
Emerging from my room of preparation
My enemy awaits on firm foundation.
My life-long foe I must annihilate
For this quibble will no longer wait.
Tentatively I travel down the stairs,
The monster quickly follows, and ensnares
My feet into the air, my head to the floor
I twist and turn and my back gets sore.
I fought harder than any man could fight
But fate was not on my side that night.
With my last dying breathe, once more I've failed
So I tell that monster to go to ...heck!
